Kristy Grant-Hart
Author of your year as a wildly effective compliance officer
A powerful and inspirational public speaker, Kristy provides keynote presentations to organizations and conferences globally. Kristy has written for and been featured in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Corporate Financier Magazine, Risk Universe Magazine and on the cover of Compliance and Ethics Professional Magazine. She is a former adjunct professor at Delaware Law School, Widener University, teaching Global Compliance and Ethics. Kristy was shortlisted for the Chief Compliance Officer of the Year award at the Women in Compliance Awards and was shortlisted again for the Compliance Innovator of the Year.
Before launching Spark Compliance, Kristy was the Chief Compliance Officer at United International Pictures, the joint distribution company for Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures in 65+ countries.
Kristy began her legal career at the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she worked in the firm’s Los Angeles and London offices. While at Gibson Dunn, her team was nominated for Best Regulatory Law Firm of the Year at Thomson Reuter’s Compliance Awards.
Kristy graduated summa cum laude from Loyola Law School in California. She holds certification as a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional – International (CCEP-I) and is a member of the California Bar.
Matt Silverman
Author of The Champions Network
Matt Silverman is the founder and CEO of The Blueprint Organization, a consultancy that provides companies with guidance on how to build and implement successful champions networks. Matt is a sought-after speaker on topics ranging from international law and compliance to influence and champions-network development. He is a frequent contributor to industry publications, podcasts, and conferences.
His bimonthly column, “Keeping Perspective,” is published in Compliance and Ethics Professional (CEP) Magazine. As an international trade lawyer, Matt has worked in the U.S. Senate, global law firms, and Fortune 500 companies in the technology, telecommunications, aerospace, defense, and energy industries.
Matt earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and his Master of Laws in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. Originally from Evanston, Illinois, Matt now lives with his family in Arizona.

Mary Shirley
Author of Living Your Best Compliance Life: 65 Hacks & Cheat Codes to Level Up Your Ethics & Compliance Program
Mary Shirley is a New Zealand-qualified lawyer with 18 years of ethics and compliance experience that includes working for data privacy and antitrust regulators, in-house and private practice/consultancy across five countries and four regions of the world.
Mary co-founded the multi award winning Great Women in Compliance Podcast, with a view to creating a platform for the outstanding achievements of women in the field and sharing accessible ideas in a scalable manner for everyone in compliance. She is regularly invited to conferences and corporate company events as a keynote speaker discussing fostering cultures of integrity, best practices for Ethics and Compliance programs, and putting your best foot forward as a Compliance practitioner. She also sits on advisory boards and conference planning committees, helping organizations advance their initiatives and improve their products.
She co-authored the multi award winning book, “Sending the Elevator Back Down: What We’ve Learned from Great Women in Compliance” (CCI Press, 2020) and has a second book highlighting trail blazing and innovative ideas to level up Compliance programs, called "Living Your Best Compliance Practitioner Life: 65 Hacks & Cheat Codes to Level Up Your Compliance Program", published by CCI Press in August 2023.
She has been bestowed the honors of being named a Compliance Week Top Mind 2019, Trust Across America 2020 Top Thought Leader in Trust and Excellence in Compliance Awards 2022 Mentor of the Year.
